About Oklahoma State Troopers Foundation

The financial needs of our law enforcement officers often far exceed the budgetary support. This is particularly true where Oklahoma State Troopers are concerned. Our Foundation was established in to help bridge that gap for those who put their lives on the line every day to protect us.

By forging a partnership between the Oklahoma State Troopers and the private sector, our Foundation seeks to advance training, public safety education, provide public and professional services and programs, and assure our officers have the best equipment available to protect our citizens.

Foundation Management

Funds are disseminated with the board’s approval and with the advisement and input from the Advisory Committee of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The Oklahoma State Troopers Foundation’s funds, administration and compliance are managed by Foundation Management, Inc. FMI is an Oklahoma-based company serving private foundations, charitable organizations, and nonprofit communities across the United States. Last year alone, FMI managed assets of $411 million for 24 clients across the US.

FMI created a specialized accounting plan and assisted with a spending policy and budget.

FMI provides a projected minimum distribution calculation for each accounting statement to assist in budgeting future grants.

FMI reconciles monthly bank statements, investment statements and other pertinent financial records.

FMI will prepare annual tax workbooks and accompanying documents to provide to appropriate agencies.

FMI develops and implements a grant-making plan, using traditional or web-based programs
